Mobile Pet Care and Veterinary Services
NoVa Mobile Vet is the premier provider of state-of-the-art home veterinary care in Virginia. We offer a full range of veterinary services emphasizing customer convenience without the need to sacrifice quality pet care.
Once an appointment is scheduled, our mobile animal hospital will show up at your desired location in Northern Virginia. Thanks to our diagnostic equipment and range of veterinary services delivered by the NoVa Mobile Vet team (featuring a veterinarian and licensed veterinary technician), your pet will receive the attention, compassion and knowledgeable insight he or she deserves.
NoVa Mobile Vet's founder, Dr. Eric Cryan is a devoted animal lover that will treat each and every pet as if he were their loving and dedicated owner. Dr. Cryan specializes in using direct, effective, compassionate communication to help calm the frazzled nerves of both patient and owner. By combining his technique with his mobile veterinary clinic, Dr. Cryan is now able to provide exceptional pet care to critters in need!
Since 1979 Dr. Cryan has called Virginia home and is a proud product of the local school system (Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology Graduating Class of 1993). His education continued at the University of Virginia where his insatiable curiosity led him to major in biology and minor in history. After graduation he began working toward a Masters in Veterinary Biology at University College Dublin in Ireland and ended that year with first class honors in Applied Medical Biophysics. After relocating back to the states, the Doctor earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (VMRCVM) in Blacksburg, Virginia, a unique school that is partnered with both Virginia Tech and the University of Maryland.
Dr. Cryan began practicing clinical medicine immediately after his 2002 graduation from VMRCVM. He initially worked at Greenwich Animal Hospital in Connecticut and eventually returned to Northern Virginia to work at a small animal hospital in Mclean, Virginia until launching NoVa Mobile Vet in the summer of 2011.
NoVa Mobile Vet, PLLC allows Dr. Cryan to focus his efforts and energy on delivering premier veterinary care right to the front doors of his neighbors in Northern Virginia. Thanks to his mobile pet care hospital, the Doctor will provide exceptional animal care to his customers, regardless of whether they speak, bark, meow or purr.
Dr. Cryan shares his home in Springfield with his high school sweetheart and beloved wife Alicia, and their young son and two daugters. In addition, he has their guide dog dropout Bliss, and their cats Lydia and Sicily (aka Sissy).
Jim found his passion for veterinary medicine 9 years ago and has not looked back. He joined the NoVa Mobile Vet team in August of 2013 with several years of experience as a veterinary assistant. After many years working in a traditional animal hospital, he enjoys being able to work with dogs and cats in the more relaxed atmosphere that at-home / mobile veterinary care provides. When not working, he enjoys Steelers footbal, Capitals Hockey (long story, he'll explain if you ask) good beer, and trips to the beach as oftern as he can manage.
Bonnie recently started with NMV in July 2015, she has always had a love for animals before she could even walk. Her parents used to take her horseback riding at the age of 2. Bonnie began her career with animals at the age of 13 helping around the barn she rode at. Right out of high school she landed her first official job at a rural vet where she knew this was the path for her. Unfortunately life had a different plan for her, she went into the human healthcare field and began a family of her own. Here she gained her knowledge of customer service and public relations. But, something was still missing. She went on to get her grooming certificate, she was still missing the animal healthcare field. Now that her kids are starting school, she is now able to work where she wishes, and NMV is the place. Bonnie lives with her husband Steve, their 3 kids, 1 son and 2 daughters along with their old faithful cat Mo, their rescue kitty Churchie Mouse, Labradoodle Bugsy Malone, and recent kitten addition Figaro.
